ABOUT WESLEY JOHNSON
Hi, I am Wesley Johnson, and I am currently pursuing a major in Political Science with a double minor in Business Administration and Psychology as a student at the University of South Carolina. Since a young age, growing up right outside of our nations capitol, politics have always intrigued me. I am grateful to say that in the summer of 2023, I had my first chance to experience Capitol Hill hands on as an political Intern with the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC). Since then I have had the opportunities to intern for two US Senate personal offices and one committee. My experience on Capitol Hill has only furthered my interest in politics and government affairs. In the future, I hope to continue this passion of mine by moving back to Washington, D.C. Both inside and outside the classroom, I have been the last to shy away from challenges. I believe that effort, no matter how big or small the task, defines a person’s character. Leadership is best shown through actions, not words. I am eager to use the skills I have developed so far to be a valuable asset and positively impact your team.
