Responsible for the day to day management of three departments housing 52 injection molding presses, 10 extrusion molding presses and their associated packaging lines. I oversee up to 45 associates including Injection operator technicians, Extrusion operator technicians, packers, material handlers and Team Leads. Successfully co-led two Kaizen projects focused on new hire training. The first project dealt with redeveloping, standardizing and documentation of new hire operators for the Auto-Box department. The second project focused on the creation of base standards for operations. We coordinated with the local community college to develop a classroom training module focused on interpersonal communication and content delivery.
