ABOUT WESLEY G.

I\'m a game developer, artist and published author with decades of experience in the game industry. I attended Syracuse University where I graduated with Honors in Computer Graphics, then spent 9 years at Electronic Arts-Tiburon. While there, I held key roles, pioneered procedural modeling techniques for constructing NASCAR race tracks and the city of Metropolis and developed efficient solutions for improving in-game lighting for football stadiums in Madden. In 2006 I co-founded The Dreamhive, an animation studio in Florida. In addition to day-to-day business, I was responsible for designing and implementing the studio\'s core technologies, including a hybrid real-time/software rendering pipeline. I also designed and programmed the studio\'s first iPhone game,\"Squish Squash\". Client list included EA, Mythic, Sony, Bottlerocket/Namco, Ready At Dawn and Madonna. In 2009 I joined Microsoft and helped launch Kinect. In 2011, I joined the team at 343 Industries to help ship Halo 4. In 2013 I became the lead of the Technical Art Department at 343 and over the next 2.5 years, my team and I helped ensure the successful launch of Halo 5: Guardians. In 2015, I joined Sony’s Sucker Punch Productions as Lead Technical Art Director designing and implementing cinematic, facial and environment pipelines for Ghost of Tsushima (2020) and Ghost of Yotei (2025).I have been a guest lecturer at BGSU and UCF-FIEA graduate program, lectured at the \'05 Game Developer\'s Conference, served as an adjunct professor for UCF\'s School of Film and Digital Media, was a Maya Masterclass presenter at SIGGRAPH \'08 and was a speaker at the GDC 2012 and 2014 Technical Artist Bootcamps.
