About Wes Keller

I grew up in Colorado, working from a young age for my father in his oilfield construction services company outside of Denver and later in Grand Junction. I found that work ethic is not something you can read about in a book or learn in a class or seminar; it’s something learned through life. My father had a dream of selling his construction company, moving to Alaska, and buying a fishing lodge.In the early 1980s, the oil industry in the Midwest was hit hard, and so were we. Despite that, we moved to Ketchikan, Alaska, in 1983. I finished my last two years of high school in Ketchikan, where I graduated in 1985. Afterward, I attended college at the University of Alaska – Fairbanks.In 1991, I started my title career in Ketchikan, Alaska, as a Title Assistant. The deciding factor in me getting the job was that I knew what \"drafting tape\" was and where to buy some. Since then, I have worked in all areas of a title company, including posting the plant, recording, performing escrow closings, examining title, and managing departments and branches. I have examined real property throughout the State of Alaska and worked on many large-scale commercial projects, including shopping centers, canneries, restaurants, gas stations, auto parts stores, drugstores, and communications facilities.I am an active member of the Anchorage Home Builders Association, the Alaska State Home Building Association, and the National Association of Home Builders. I have also served on the Board of Directors for the Alaska Land Title Association and was the past president of the Rotary Club of Kenai.I have made many presentations on Title Insurance and other industry-specific topics to realtors, builders, and the general public.
