ABOUT WEN-HSUAN CHANG

CNS oligonucleotide drug‑development leader with a passion for turning complex neurobiology into first‑in‑class therapies for ALS, FTD, and related neurodegenerative diseases.Over the past decade, I’ve built and led teams that move programs from target discovery through IND‑enabling studies, with a focus on antisense oligonucleotides, human iPSC disease models, and translational neuroscience. I enjoy sitting at the interface of science, operations, and partnerships—connecting platform biology, in vivo pharmacology, biomarkers, and CMC into clear development strategies and go/no‑go decisions. As a founding scientific leader at a CNS‑focused biotech, I helped scale the organization from a single‑person lab to a multi‑group research engine, managed multi‑million‑dollar research budgets, and served as scientific lead for high‑value pharma collaborations and non‑dilutive grants. My work has contributed to a robust ASO pipeline and publications in top‑tier journals, alongside frequent invited talks at international oligonucleotide and neurodegeneration meetings.
