About Wendy Strout

When I went to college, my intention was to become a psychologist so I could help people. Instead, I found politics and realized I could help more people by working to elect those who will enact policies intended to benefit those most in need.While working in politics, I have worked for a variety of candidates and organizations. Throughout my career, I have had the fortune to help elect several candidates who help others. I also found that I could help people in more ways than just electing good candidates. Through managing staff and volunteers, I have helped people grow and reach for new opportunities. I have also had the pleasure of teaching women to use their voice by running for office as well as becoming more active in their community.My passion and strengths also lie in assessing where organizations are now and helping them see their potential to be more successful, diverse, and stronger. I am able to utilize my years of organizing experience as well as a collaborative leadership style that seeks input from all.I currently live and work in Wisconsin, but my work has taken me across the country from Washington, DC to San Francisco, CA. You might also like to know that I am a long distance runner who continues to challenge herself. I\'ve run several half and full marathons.
