I’m passionate about building on organizational and individual strengths to ensure long term sustainability and reaching strategic goals. My commitment to \"servant leadership\" and core values of integrity, collaboration, and quality work among others provides opportunities to enrich the lives of individuals and organizations. As an experienced association and nonprofit executive, and advisor/coach to leaders of associations and other nonprofits (and businesses) in the U.S. and internationally based, I believe exceptional leadership and collaboration are essential for fulfilling mission. Partnering with Board of Directors and staff to renew, grow and innovate is a top priority through strategic planning, training, and leadership coaching. Awarded the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential in 1998, I also leverage my long term experience as an entrepreneur/business owner to help organizations focus on the priorities that will advance their capacity and increase value for members, donors, partners and other stakeholders. My extensive leadership experience has also allowed me to contract with the U.S. State Dept, U.S.A.I.D, the U.S. Grains Council, Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), International Focus and other agencies to provide services in support of civil society development, professional development and coaching/mentoring leaders of NGOs and business associations in Central/South America, Europe/Eastern Europe, Canada, and the Middle East (Kosovo, Montenegro, Bolivia, Honduras, Peru, Mexico, Egypt, and the post-Soviet Republics). Currently, in addition to serving periodically as an interim CEO/Executive Director, my focus is to apply nearly four decades of a proven track record in association/nonprofit management in a coaching role to support both emerging and seasoned professionals. Sharing best practices in association and nonprofit management as a speaker/trainer at national conferences has allowed me to reach hundreds of leaders desiring to grow both personally and professionally: American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), California Society of Association Executives (CalSAE), New England Society of Association Executives (NESAE), Association Executives of NC (AENC), Florida Society of Association Executives (FSAE) and more. The most rewarding part of my successful career as an entrepreneur and advisor is to be told \"you\'ve changed my life\" or \"thanks for believing in me\" which reflects my commitment to bring value to leaders and organizations in the U.S. and based in other countries.
