About Wendy Ruth

Wendy is a show creator, team leader, writer, and show director for stage, spectaculars, and immersive experiences at Disney Parks around the world.Working with Disney Live Entertainment means it\'s fun to do the impossible! I\'m part of a multi-faceted team that has delivered large-scale nighttime spectaculars, including Believe - Sea of Dreams at Tokyo Disneyland (co-creator and show director) and World of Color ONE at Disney California Adventure (show director). Being a creative contributor for new experiences like Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser and being the Creative Director for the opening program of Atmosphere Entertainment for Shanghai Disneyland, and the interim Creative Director for Hong Kong Disneyland for a few months in 2023 are just a few highlights from my career at Walt Disney Imagineering, since 2011. My nearly 30 years of experience in Themed Entertainment and Events began at Disneyland Park in Anaheim and is layered over a strong foundation in professional theatre. Bringing theatrical techniques and live performance into immersive experiences is one of my current passions.A member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I actively give the spotlight to diverse voices and perspectives of all persuasions. Diving deep into cultural relevance and accessibility opens connections for all. This practice brings in new audiences and opens new doors for myself and my collaborators.
