Responsible for providing oversight claim management in a timely and cost-efficient manner, working directly with employees, medical providers, third party administrator, and defense attorney to ensure quality claim management in the resolution of each claim-Completes the initial claim reporting, investigating potential red flags, and following up with Health Safety & Security to ensure corrective preventative measures are taken. Upon entering role, took data from claims year-to-date to identify areas of opportunity to promote a safer workplace and reduce injuries-Streamlined the injury reporting workflow for the company and created Supervisor Responsibility Posters to ensure compliance to policies. Created a Workers Compensation Powerpoint presentation for the Supervisors, giving a high level overview of Workers’ Compensation and helpful information to know as Supervisors. Teamed up with Training Department to help retrain employees coming back to full duty on proper lifting techniques to promote a safer workplace-Frequently reviewed claims, identified potential closures and followed up to ensure claims are moving as appropriate-Performs the Interactive Process with employees receiving permanent work restrictions. Sends out initial correspondence and meets with employee to review to review, investigate accommodations, and meet submit outcome to HR for their follow through.
