About Wendy Perez

As an Assist. Director in the Risk Assurance and Quality practice I oversee various region’s compliance efforts and implement the project/program measurements needed to drive improvements. This includes carrying out process analysis, monitoring report quality results, and working with operations. I am one for diversity leaders at my office and a mentor and a sponsor of various seniors and managers. As a senior manager in the audit practice, I have served clients that range from small start-up companies to large multi-national public companies. Throughout my career as an audit, I have managed various Initial Public Offerings and served variety of clients including venture capital funds, telecommunications, Major League baseball, technology, software, retail, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries. Traveled to various countries including India and Latin American to provide training on audit efficiencies, AS 5 and firm internal audit guidance. Provided coaching, supervised teams across all clients and serve as a coach, sponsor and career counselor for staff to managers. Instructed workshops and classes on audit strategy and firm guidance.Received a B.S. in business administration from Monmouth University in Accounting and Marketing. I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the stats of New Jersey and New York. I am an active member of the NJ State Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs, AICPA and NAPW. I am a Co-founder of Liftempoweringlives, and lead various diversity initiatives at EY. I am passionate about giving back and paying forward and very involved in my community. I am one of the Founders for a not for profit organization called “Women of Today” and volunteer and participate in various programs including the Junior achievement program, student panel discussions, and mentoring programs.
