   Wendy Loomis writes jazz, world, new classical music for live performance, CD recordings, and film.\"Composer/pianist Wendy Loomis paints with a broad palette of jazz, classical, new age, avant garde and world colors, fusing styles ranging from Debussy to Thelonius Monk.\"(Kelley Dolan, NoHands Records) Wendy has released 18 CDs of her musical works as a soloist and in various ensembles. She has had her compositions included in numerous compilations, has received the ASCAPlus award for composition four times, has written a filmscore for several indie short films, and has performed her works internationally. Wendy is the music director for rap/jazz/fusion band COPUS and together with poet Royal Kent is the co-founder of the affiliated COPUS Multimedia. The band COPUS has earned awards and nominations from Clouzine International Music and the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. The band has performed throughout the U.S. at such prestigious places as the Bitter End and Feinstein\'s in Manhattan, the San Francisco Jazz Center, and the Cutting Edge Festival in New Orleans. In December 2021, they will be performing at Lincoln Center in New York. Additionally, COPUS Multimedia presents the best indie talent in the Bay Area at a monthly house concert series called \"Poets & Composers Salon\".
