About Wendy Komocsar
My major focus has been on the immune system, first in the diagnosis of various autoimmune diseases in a human clinical lab setting, followed by the assessment of immune effects (immunotoxicology) in preclinical animal models elicited by candidate drugs during the drug development process. Current responsibilities include mid and late phase clinical development of drugs for use in inflammatory diseases of UC and CD with a special focus on pediatric development. I have managed laboratories, personnel and budgets for over 16 years and have supervised 17 direct reports over the years. I am motivated and dedicated to developing others and working with others to build strong and high functioning teams. Mentored more than 25 employees over the years and led the internal development group of the Lilly Women’s Network for 4 years.
