Wendy is an award-winning, dynamic leader in educational technology, serving as the Founder and Managing Director of Incuentro LLC. This includes overseeing the Spectrum Linx division, an app in the Google and Apple stores and an online platform dedicated to supporting families navigating autism and special needs.Under her leadership, Incuentro specializes in developing practical tools, trainings, and consulting services in the neurodiversity and disability sectors. In 2010, she founded Social Motion, a non-profit offering social skills and vocational training to youth and young adults on the autism spectrum. Wendy remains involved as Founder and Executive Director of this impactful Houston-based nonprofit.Starting her business career in commodity trading, Wendy transitioned to entrepreneurship, nonprofit consulting, promoting autism awareness and working with various organizations.Wendy Dawson is an accomplished community leader, recognized extensively for her charitable leadership and contributions to STEAM education. Most recently, in 2024, she was honored as a STEAM Role Model by the Greater Houston Women\'s Chamber of Commerce. In 2022, Wendy was named a Woman of Substance, recognizing her significant charitable contributions.Wendy has received numerous accolades highlighting her influence and innovation, including recognition by the Texas Senate, Harris County Constable’s Precinct One Office, and the City of Houston. Spectrum Linx was named one of SBA/SCORE’s top 10 business pitch winners in Houston in 2024.Her earlier distinctions include being named by Houston Woman Magazine as one of the \"50 Most Influential\" Houstonians and by Swoon Magazine as a Community Icon. She was also honored as a Woman on the Move by Texas Executive Women\'s Organization in 2016 and received the Hats Off to Mothers Award in 2013, recognizing her devotion to family and community charitable activities.Wendy actively contributes her expertise as a speaker and consultant on topics such as autism, special needs, non-profit management, and strategic planning. She maintains involvement in leadership, mentoring, and management education opportunities while serving as a dedicated wife, mother, and community advocate.She currently serves as a member of the Greater Houston Women\'s Chamber of Commerce, Texas Executive Women, and Crime Stoppers NEEDS project, and is an alum of The Women President\'s Organization. Wendy has also served as President of the Houston Bar Association Auxiliary and as an advisor to UT Health’s Children’s Learning Institute.
