Our goal is to expand Wee Little Arts and offer children, around the world, the best arts education possible.Wee Little Arts was developed based on a need Melissa observed when teaching as a visual arts instructor at a creative arts magnet school. Her youngest students still struggled with their fine-motor and critical thinking skills, had little to no exposure to the visual arts world, artists (both master and contemporary), concepts, materials, learning to think \"outside the box\" and creating through process. It was then that Melissa knew she had to change this by offering preschool aged children a strong, structured, educational and fun visual arts program, that is now also offered through Camps and elementary schools.It has been Melissa\'s passion, for the last 25 years, to inspire children through the visual arts. Teaching full-time, as well as developing the concept into a franchise, has provided tremendous growth, while continuing to keep her focused and centered on what\'s most important.our budding artists.Parents, teachers and school directors RAVE about the program. Not only are the students coming to a class that encourages them to think \"outside the box\", they are making connections through the process of creating, improving skills such as writing, vocabulary, critical thinking and developing an awareness of other cultures. It is amazing to see the connections being made, all the while students are in class discussing and observing one another\'s artwork. Watching the progression of these young children, light-bulbs constantly going off, the excited faces of pure enthusiasm when they see their work displayed proudly on school walls, creates a child of wonder and one that feels confident in their ability to shine. In a world that is difficult enough, Wee Little Arts not only creates a \"fire\" beneath these children for the visual arts, but it creates stronger, more prepared individuals, loaded with self-esteem.

   Wee Little Arts was developed through my passion and love for teaching and the importance of arts in education. It is the young, beautiful minds of preschool aged children that I focus on. Introducing the fine arts through the process of creating, as well as introducing both the Master and Contemporary artists, my students are able to express themselves and the world around them. Because of the programs huge success in the Charleston and other states, I have franchised the simple and successful business model so that children, everywhere, might possibly have the opportunity to experience this premier visual arts program. My goal.to change the face of education, beginning with a solid foundation!
