About Thomas Olson

Twenty Years of experience from Developer to Enterprise Architect, including Software Designer (UX/UI, Database), Project Management (Waterfall/Agile/SCRUM), and Senior Business Analyst. Today, I am applying my technology skills to new ventures in unmanned aircraft applications in healthcare and wildlife management as an FAA Part 107 commercial pilot and Texas Parks and Wildlife Aerial Wildlife Permit holder. I started as an Entrepreneur with a Web Technology focus in 1998 when I founded Houston’s first Virtual Real Estate Agency (relocator.com). I then joined a venture taking an Internet Service Provider from Bankruptcy to Profitability and selling it to First World Communications. I retain a stakeholder mentality in all my efforts. Usually, I am sought for my balance of Education, Work Experience, and Software Development skills. Regardless of my role, I remain hands-on throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). My programming focus is centered on Open Source Technologies in Full Web Application Stack Development and has Mastered most all Database Engines. I have worked on Project Budgets of $10M and founded a venture in 2001 to license SkyVenture (iFLY Indoor Skydiving) to an IPO on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). I also own Patented Intellectual Property used in the Healthcare domain. Since I have focused on the following domains: Law, Energy (Upstream, Midstream, Retail Electricity), Healthcare, Biosciences, Insurance, and Real Estate. Prior to 1998, I was a critical care nurse, and paramedic and served in the US Navy.
