Translation, to me, is not merely about converting English text into another language — in my case, Hindi. I see translation as a form of writing, but within certain boundaries. In the localization industry, especially in UI and marketing domains, there’s a growing need to move away from clichéd, overly literal, and formal language that feels outdated and hard to relate to. Instead, we must embrace a more natural, conversational tone that truly connects with users.That’s where I come in. I strongly believe in the keep-it-simple approach. Language has always been my strength, and throughout my career across different organizations, I’ve served as a bridge between English and Hindi. My seven years in the news media industry taught me the value of precision — ensuring both grammar and facts remain intact — while my experience in localization has shaped my understanding of how language can influence user experience and brand perception.I strive to make Hindi communication intuitive, relatable, and culturally relevant, so users can understand it effortlessly, regardless of geography or background. I also enjoy collaborating with teams, sharing best practices, and refining language processes that make localized content not just accurate, but human.As I continue to grow in this field, I’m keen to take on larger responsibilities — contributing to language strategy, mentoring linguists, and driving quality and consistency at scale in roles such as Language Lead, Localization Lead, or Language Manager.
