I am a seasoned professional specialising in data-driven decision-making and commercial optimisation. Currently serving as a Data Business Partner at Halfords Group PLC, the UK\'s largest retailer of motoring and cycling products and services, I am at the forefront of the company\'s data transformation journey. My role bridges the gap between strategic business partnering and technical platform architecture, focusing on the design and implementation of a modern Data and AI Platform. I am responsible for our data roadmap and evolving our cloud ecosystem with a rigorous focus on engineering, deployment and infrastructure best practices. From this technical foundation, I also support our Product Owners and Business Analysts to consolidate requirements and design robust, well architected, Data and AI solutions.In addition to my current role, my background is enriched by a proven track record in store management and technical support within the cycling industry. Previously serving as an Optimisation and Support Manager, Technical Support Manager, and Bikehut Manager at Halfords, I have successfully led teams to improve support for products and services. Prior to Halfords, I gained invaluable experience as a Store Manager in independent bike shops. My diverse skill set ranges from data analytics and project management to leadership and retail management, all reinforced by a strong foundation in retail management and customer service.Outside of my professional life, I lead an active life centred around my passion for cycling. Having represented Wales and Great Britain at youth and junior levels on the road and track, cycling has been an integral part of my personal journey. Currently, I\'m enjoying my road cycling and mountain biking, I still participate in races and cycling events in South Wales, relishing the opportunity to challenge myself and engage with the cycling community with my club Cardiff Ajax CC.I am recently married and have a young family. We reside in Cardiff, South Wales, and one of our favourite activities is exploring the countryside, either on wheels or on foot, connecting with nature and enjoying the outdoors.
