About Wenhao David Huang 黃文灝
As a Dean\'s Fellow and Professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, I lead and facilitate educational initiatives to serve our stakeholders across the globe. My leadership approach emphasizes collaboration and empathy, shaped by my background as a first-generation college student with an interdisciplinary and international background. My scholarship embodies a pragmatic-humanist philosophy of technology-mediated learning that challenges technocentric paradigms dominating technologies in broadly defined education. I believe learning is a motivated, socially-situated, cognitively-bounded human activity that can be continuously improved through thoughtful design—but only when such design respects learners\' agency, context, and humanity rather than privileging technological sophistication for its own sake.Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English, my goal is creating opportunities for collective success. I look forward to connecting with you.
