About William Cromwell
For the past three decades, I have dedicated my professional activities to diagnosing and managing lipoprotein and metabolic disorders. In addition to 30 years of clinical practice experience, my career includes service as Medical Director / Division Chief of Lipoprotein and Metabolic Disorders at multiple institutions, as Chief Medical Officer of one of the world’s most innovative diagnostic companies, LipoScience, and service as Strategic Director / Discipline Director of Cardiovascular Disease at LabCorp. As a key opinion leader, I have worked closely with various companies as a consultant and member of scientific advisory boards.In these roles, my motivation has been to create strategies that optimize patient-specific care. In addition to supporting the development and appropriate utilization of new therapeutic options, I look forward to developing technology-enabled solutions that empower improved shared decision-making for patients and their providers.In addition to my clinical work, I have spent over 20 years in bench and clinical trial research. I am pleased to be a part of the Velocity Clinical Research team serving as Medical Director and Principal Investigator of our site in Durham, NC.
