Since 2015, I have been part of a HUD CDBG-DR Hurricane Sandy Disaster Recovery Team tasked with construction management oversight related to repairing, reconstructing or elevating homes in Staten Island, NY. In addition, I am currently directing teams that are establishing efforts to support Texas long term housing recovery efforts related to the impact of Hurricane Harvey. From June 2012 to April 2015, I lead three programs associated with the State of Texas Hurricane Ike/Dolly CDBG Housing Disaster Recovery effort. From Fall 2009 to Spring 2012 I was a Program Manager leading a team that directed the allocation of a $99.5 million HUD Community Development Block Grant awarded to Galveston County. This disaster recovery fund went to families who had homes damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Ike. Our team directed the construction efforts that will resulted 672 homes being built or repaired.
