Most people came to AI through enthusiasm. I came through the attack surface.After 15+ years in IT and cybersecurity, working across the Philippines and the US, it started becoming evident that when AI began showing up in monitoring systems, decision engines, and customer-facing tools, almost nobody was asking the right question.Not \"what can this do?\"But \"how does this get exploited, and by whom?\" That question drove me to pursue PAPA certification (Practical AI Pentest Associate) from TCM Academy in January 2026 — one of the first credentials in AI security.The exam isn\'t theoretical. You break AI systems. You document what you found. You explain how it got exploited.It changed how I think about AI governance entirely. I\'m gearing up to deliver talks on AI risk and awareness to people who are deploying AI tools without understanding the attack surface underneath them.The gap isn\'t technical literacy. It\'s that nobody is translating the threat into language decision-makers can act on. My focus: helping organizations understand that the most dangerous AI risk isn\'t that it fails. It\'s that it succeeds and nobody knows what it was allowed to do. I write about AI security, governance, and the threat models most teams haven\'t built yet.
