Accountable for ensuring deployment of the SSHE Management Programs covering all Unilever Global, WCM, Process, Security and North American standards. Leading the WCM (world-class manufacturing) safety and supporting the environment pillar for the plant. Supporting the Safety, Environmental, Security Engineers and the overall SSHE teams where necessary for them to perform at Par. Establishing the plant SSHE objective and targets and deploying the same to all relevant departments. Communication with local authorities on all SSHE related matters. Provide advice on SHE legislation requirements and implement relevant requirements. Work on an agenda to eliminate or reduce major plant identified risks; develop, implement and monitor the investment plans to reduce or minimize OSHE risks in the plant avoiding unwanted stoppages and ensuring business continuity. Supporting on the reduction of environment impacts that are caused due to the operations such as waste, effluent, emissions and energy consumption. Determine training needs and facilitating in delivery of training programs. Develop and deploy internal various SHE audits and inspection systems. Planning and proposing CAPEX plans arising from SSHE requirements for plant operation. Effectively managing the allocated costs within the areas of SSHE. Contractor management, working with relevant stakeholders such as procurement, engineering team’s etc, ensuring end-to-end process is executed as per requirement. External site support: Currently part of the Global Safety team restructuring the UMS pillar assessment criteria. Part of the Global Safety teamwork at height focus group working on redefining the relevant standards for Unilever. Active team member of the Global Construction safety operation group Construction Safety Technical Authority 02 for NAMET RUB (previous)/ North America (Current) Part of the Global security group, Certified People Accountability Systems (PAS) Licensed holder
