As the Senior Business Consultant with the Louisiana SBDC at Southeastern Louisiana University, Mr. Ricks provides assistance with: gaining access to capital, developing growth strategies, and conducting industry and market research. Since starting with the LSBDC in 2005 he has consulted over 2,300 existing and aspiring business owners, assisted in the creation of 200 new businesses, and has worked in securing over $200 million in capital for his clients. Mr. Ricks, a Certified Global Business Professional, holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Master’s of Business Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University. His center was the 2015 national recipient of the ASBDC Excellence and Innovation Award and he has twice been named the Louisiana State Star for his work in the field.
