I’ve been a nurse for over 20 years with a career path in clinical operations, which has led me to healthcare entrepreneurship.HOW I DO IT: I am the Founder and CEO of MedTempNow, a new platform-based healthcare staffing solution, and the Chief Clinical Officer for Lucent MD. I created MedTempNow because I felt that the antiquated process of healthcare staffing could be dramatically improved in ways that would lead to higher quality patient care and more career satisfaction for healthcare professionals. Facilities can personally select qualified, vetted staff, and staff can take control of their schedule by choosing the days and times they’re available to work.WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT: I believe in empowering both healthcare companies and healthcare professionals. I’ve worked in and managed these operations for so long, so I know the shortcomings of the old system: high costs, little flexibility, and using staff that’s poorly suited to the role they are called on to fill.
