ABOUT WASI SYED BABAR

Wasi is a strategic and forward looking leader with more than a decade of experience across project, program, and portfolio management, with expertise spanning business and digital transformation, complex procurement, corporate strategy, public policy, and enterprise change management. He currently leads the Election Technology Program at the City of Toronto, guiding modernization efforts across mission critical municipal systems while overseeing governance, vendor management, and cross functional stakeholder alignment to ensure operational resilience and public trust. Previously, he established and led the Project Management Office at Médecins Sans Frontières Canada, standardizing delivery across a diverse portfolio that included IT, HR, communications, health care, and donor engagement initiatives, and earlier served in the Federal Public Service in roles focused on program delivery, procurement, policy development, and organizational transformation. Wasi is a certified Project Management Professional and Certified ScrumMaster with experience across waterfall, agile, and hybrid environments, holds a Master of Public Policy, Administration and Law, and is currently completing his MBA at the University of Illinois Gies College of Business. Outside of his professional work, he serves as Chief Operating Officer of Muslim Youth Revival, where he helps shape strategy, oversee programs, and drive sustainable growth in support of youth leadership and community development.
