ABOUT ALEX WARSHICK
I advise and represent employers, across industries, on issues in their workplaces. I have represented employers in Nova Scotia at the Labour Board, before the Human Rights Commission and Boards of Inquiry, at the Workers\' Compensation Appeals Tribunal, and in our courts, particularly on wrongful dismissal matters, non-competition disputes, and on judicial reviews or appeals of labour or human rights decisions. I have also represented employers in arbitrations and mediations across Atlantic Canada. My practice includes advising employers on hiring, employee management, terminations, policies, personnel considerations during acquisitions, compliance with legislation, and collective bargaining. A particular focus of my practice is on labour and employment matters in the construction industry. I frequently advise employers in construction on labour and occupational health and safety matters and I regularly teach courses on employment law and on occupational health and safety in the industry.
