Facilitate in hiring safety professionals needed for regional offices and site-based needs Manage safety programs within the parameters of the budget Make recommendations to minimize Bowen Engineering’s risk and exposure with clients, vendors, sub-contractors, and employees Maintain, manage, and improve the company’s relationship with its clients and build relationships amongst industry safety leaders through organizations such as ASSP, BCSP, AGC Oversee and ensure that safety files and records are maintained across all regions Oversee the development, standardization, and implementation all Bowen Engineering’s safety training programs Oversee Bowen Engineering’s contractor qualification in all 3rd party systems (AVETTA, ISNetworld, PEC, etc.) Worked with leadership to help Bowen Transport, a Bowen Engineering company, become compliant with FMCSA regulations Worked with leadership to help start new service line, Bowen Gas, utilizing PHMSA regulations and helping to develop employee files for background checks and qualifications. Implements and enhances the operating procedures of the safety department, working to continuously improve safety services and support to the operations team Conduct informal monthly review, formal quarterly check-ins and annual performance reviews on all direct reports Work with operational VPs to ensure potential gaps in safety are being met and filled across all of Bowen Engineering
