About Nicholas D. Ward

Nicholas D. Ward was born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii, and now makes his home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, where he is a Film Technician in the IATSE Local 480 and a union driver for New Mexico Teamsters 399.Ward works in numerous capacities in film and television production. He has been involved with many New Mexico projects from shorts and commercials to high budget films and episodic television. Some of his projects include Man VS. Cartoon, the Panavision 6 Tour of New Mexico, Better Call Saul, Night Shift, Godless and the feature films The Avengers, The Lone Ranger, Things People Do, The Signal, Logan, and numerous others. Ward is also the originating producer behind the feature film 50/1, the story of New Mexico racehorse Mine That Bird, the 50/1 longshot winner of the 2009 Kentucky Derby.Ward was producer on the seminar series Financing Your Film: Avoiding Pitfalls from Development through Distribution. Industry panelists included, but were not limited to, Academy award nominated producer John Corser, renowned entertainment attorney Hal “Corky” Kessler, distribution magnet Richard “Rick” Meyerson, film business strategist/consultant Louise Levison, and film financier Matthew Treinish of the Cleveland Film Group.
