As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, I contribute to research projects in our lab focused on (1) the effects of additive agents in cardioplegic solutions on cardiac function restoration,(2) mechanisms and signaling pathways in ischemic preconditioning to protect against ischemia/reperfusion injury, and (3) progenitor cell-based therapies for myocardial infarction. My role involves designing and executing experiments within our research scope, analyzing data, and generating new ideas to advance our objectives. I am responsible for compiling data summaries, reports, manuscripts, and presentations of research findings. Additionally, I participate in manuscript writing for journal publication, assist in grant writing, and stay updated on advancements in the field.I also handle lab maintenance tasks, including equipment upkeep and supply management. In my mentorship role, I train and support junior researchers and teach lab techniques. Furthermore, I engage in ongoing professional development, actively seeking guidance from my faculty supervisor and other faculty members to support my career and research growth. This role adapts to meet the evolving needs of the department.
