About Andy Chang
After a very personally and professionally fulfilling 4 year stint in the run specialty industry as an operations manager, coach, and trail program director, I returned in early 2020 to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency with the Stratospheric Protection Division in the Office of Atmospheric Protection. My professional and personal interests align with improving public health outcomes and social determinants of health, and I hold an adjunct lecturer position at Northwestern University in the Masters in Health Informatics program. I previously worked in EPA\'s Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards in RTP, North Carolina as the national designations and interstate transport policy staff lead for the 2010 Sulfur Dioxide National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) under Title I of the Clean Air Act. Prior to this position, I worked in EPA\'s Region 5 Office in Chicago as the national sub-lead for the 2008 Lead NAAQS and ensured that all states in the region were equipped to meet their air quality management program requirements under section 110(a)(2) of the Clean Air Act. I am the 2010 recipient of EPA\'s Trudy A. Speciner Non-Supervisory Award for Advancing Environmental Protection.
