Serve as the organisation’s Design Authority, holding final technical approval for all engineered products, lifting systems and structural solutions. Lead the company’s technical operations with responsibility for design governance, engineering assurance, certification strategy and compliance across offshore wind, heavy-lift and bespoke equipment projects, including safety-critical installation and lifting equipment for offshore renewable applications.Oversee the development and verification of DNV-compliant lifting appliances and steel structures, chair internal design reviews, and sign off structural analyses, calculations and design documentation. Direct Type Approval and Product Certification processes, coordinate with DNV design reviewers and ensure all engineering outputs satisfy class, statutory and client requirements.Drive R&D programmes focused on product innovation, automation and digital engineering workflows, including the development of parametric design tools and automated documentation systems. Maintain client interfaces, oversee technical scope, and coordinate cross-functional teams while ensuring full adherence to accredited QA, traceability and manufacturing controls.Key achievements-Secured DNV Type Approval for the MultiSec modular spreader beam system-Delivered DNV Product Certification for modular spreader beams up to tonnes-Completed multiple DNV Design Verifications for offshore and heavy-lift applications-Developed a patent-pending C-Hook for offshore wind and monopile handling.
