About Andrea Wan
I have graduated with a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture degree from Carnegie Mellon University, with a minor in Architectural Representation and Visualization. I have also studied abroad at the Architectural Association and University College London.I am a software enthusiast and humanist with a special interest in data-driven and technologically rigorous design that is not only sustainable, but also addresses cultural and historical perspectives. For me, that means GIS data mapping, hand-drawing, and environmental simulations are all equally important! My undergraduate research addresses the tensions between generative AI/computational design methodologies and human intervention in architectural drawing.I am keen to bridge the gap between traditional and new ways of working, and am seeking opportunities that allow me to work at the intersection of the old and new, exploring both the creative tension and collaborative potential between these methodologies. My goal is to leverage this unique perspective to create more holistic and forward-thinking solutions.Looking forward to connecting with professionals in the field and exploring innovative architectural opportunities!
