ABOUT WAMA GBETIBOUO

Curiosity has been the largest motivating factor for me in my life. I committed to using the tools I’ve learned as an engineer and start applying them in more business-related contexts. I did this through joining the Technology and Management Program at Georgia Tech, where I started developing the project management and technical leadership skills I needed to satisfy my ever-growing curiosity. At my core, I’m an engineer. To me that means that any problem can be solved with the right pieces around you. I joined Caterpillar’s Leadership and Technical Development Program (LTDP) shortly after graduating from undergrad in the summer of 2017. The rotation program placed me in three unique roles across the manufacturing space over the course of three years. My first year, I served as a supply network specialist working with various global facilities in ensuring shipping schedules remained current. Afterwards, I had my first experience leading a team of direct reports in the York distribution center where I oversaw inbound receiving functions for the facility.I am now serving as a section manager over our Generator Set and Power Module commodity, where I will be leading a team of 60+ production employees to deliver quality products on time in a safely manner. This year, our product line will be expanding and I will help drive engineering and process changes as we begin to scale our launch within the business unit.I love talking and connecting with people.
