About Walther Morales Rios
I design entrepreneurship and capital systems that scale across borders.Entrepreneurship is not a slogan to me. It is infrastructure. For more than two decades, I have worked at the intersection of entrepreneurship, public policy, and investment strategy, designing systems that help founders move from survival to structured growth. As Guatemala’s first National Adviser for Entrepreneurship, I led the development of the country’s first national entrepreneurship policy and helped advance legislation that influenced the broader Central American and Caribbean region. I also managed a $10M seed capital fund focused on unlocking scalable business models with national and international potential. My work required close collaboration with senior national economic leadership, public institutions, and private sector stakeholders to align policy with real market opportunity. In the United States, I design and lead accelerators, investment readiness programs, and sector-focused initiatives that strengthen small and midsize businesses navigating growth in emerging industries. My work spans high growth startups, clean energy companies, youth entrepreneurship, and cross-border economic development.I approach this work as both a strategist and a builder. I have launched ventures, failed, rebuilt, and supported hundreds of founders across diverse ecosystems. That lived experience shapes how I think about capital, policy, and founder performance systems.Bilingual in English and Spanish, with a background in political science, law, and business, I bring a cross-sector lens and a systems mindset to every initiative I lead.If you are building ecosystems, investing in founders, or designing capital pathways across markets, I would welcome the opportunity to connect.
