About Walter Knapp

Walter is the CEO of Sovrn, a company that provides products and services to thousands of media companies, online publishers and creators. With more than 30 years of business and operations management, Walter has been an investor as a Partner and Principal for two very successful venture capital funds as well as Corporate Development for two large public companies. He built and led field organizations for Novell (Nasdaq: NOVL) and Cambridge Technology Partners (Nasdaq: CATP). Walter regularly speaks and writes about media, monetization and data strategies covering online publishing, advertising, consumer data, and online commerce. He holds a Master’s in Engineering from the University of Colorado in Boulder and a B.A. in History from Boston College.Walter has served on the Boards of: Broadly, NetVision, NetPro, Seatab Software, ClosetBox, and Sovrn. He served as board observer of: Plumtree (Nasdaq: PLUM), Arcot, CollabNet, Extricity, and Cohera.
