ABOUT WALTER DONOUGHE
Walter Donoughe serves as Assistant Administrative Officer in the Office of Governor Wes Moore, supporting the Governor’s economic development portfolio. He works with the Department of Commerce, Department of General Services, Maryland Stadium Authority, and other agencies to execute the Moore Administration’s strategy to create jobs, attract investment, and lower the cost of living in Maryland. Walter also serves as a liaison to the Board of Public Works, Maryland’s highest administrative body, where he has helped advance over $15 billion in capital projects, state contracts, and other expenditures in partnership with agencies and public universities. Before the Governor’s Office, Walter served as a Council and Commission Specialist for the Department of Commerce. He has also worked at a boutique lobbying firm in Annapolis, and as Communications Director for a Maryland State Senator in the 2022 campaign cycle. Walter graduated summa cum laude from Towson University with a B.S. in Political Science and minors in Economics and International Studies.
