About Walter Cheatham
As a creative individual, I truly believe that every challenge has an imaginative solution waiting to be explored. Problems should not be seen as disadvantages, but exercises in exploration, imagination, and collaboration. We should never be afraid to innovate and discover possibilities to create a new path forward. It is my mission to be a part of that transformation.I spent 8 years in the financial industry at Capital One, exploring roles in sales, customer service, customer solutions, risk control, and service quality assurance. My time with the company instilled the value of a great system powered by dedicated associates and strong leadership. This drove me to pursue a Master’s degree in Organization Leadership. The degree helped me appreciate the importance of influential leadership and effective team dynamics. It also taught me the importance of knowing my strengths and confronting my flaws. What makes me an asset is that I love solving problems by tapping into new ideas. Incorporating design thinking into problem-solving has ignited my desire to return to my creative roots. I want to add value to my community and organization with innovative solutions that push the limits of what is possible and change the way we think about a problem. I am looking to expand my professional experience outside of bank operations and customer service to focus on inventive ways to help organizations interact with their customers, driving innovation and change.Interesting Facts: I have an 11 and a half -year-old rescue that will be a puppy forever. With downtime, I spend time perfecting my art by stretching the limits of my skillsets into various mediums. I am expanding my knowledge in the areas of User Experience Design, 3D Design, Design Thinking, and Adobe’s Creative tools. I am an avid Philadelphia sports fan (Fly Eagles Fly!). I believe that we should never stop growing and learning, and I do not plan on stopping anytime soon.
