About Walter Arrieta

I am a transaction advisory professional with over 11 years of experience supporting private equity funds, corporate clients, and lenders across buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements. I advise clients throughout the transaction lifecycle, from initial diligence and risk assessment through negotiation and execution. My experience spans a range of industries, including manufacturing, consumer products, healthcare and life sciences, retail, logistics and transportation, and business services, across both domestic and cross-border transactions involving the United States, Latin America, and Europe. I have led numerous financial due diligence engagements, focusing on Quality of Earnings, cash flow dynamics, working capital considerations, and key transaction matters. I regularly work alongside management teams, investors, and other advisors to assess underlying financial performance and support transaction decision-making. In addition to transaction advisory, I have supported clients in interim and project-based finance roles, including optimizing financial reporting processes, enhancing budgeting and forecasting capabilities, and supporting finance function improvements in transaction and post-transaction environments. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, I was a Manager in the Deal Advisory practice at KPMG and began my career in transaction advisory at Deloitte, where I supported U.S-based and multinational clients, including leading engagements across Latin America. I hold a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from Tecnológico de Monterrey. I have also taught in the Accounting and Finance department at Tecnológico de Monterrey
