I am Walker Seldon, an experienced military leader with over 13 years of experience in military operations, leadership, Project Management, IT Management and Communications Management. I have a proven track record of success overseeing large teams, executing complex operations, and ensuring mission success in a dynamic and high-pressure environment. I am the first African American male from Columbus, GA, to graduate from the United States Military Academy at West Point. This milestone was recognized by the Mayor of Columbus, the Honorable B.H. Skip Henderson who presented a proclamation declaring June 22nd as “2LT Walker Vernal Seldon Day” to commemorate my accomplishment. Over the years, I have held various roles within the military, where I successfully managed tactical and technical operations and balanced the needs of personnel, equipment, and resources to achieve mission success. I have served as a Captain, managing multiple organizations of over 300+ soldiers, overseeing their tactical and daily operations, and ensuring mission readiness. I have served as a Senior Information Technology & Communications Manager, overseeing 300+ personnel responsible for providing communications capabilities to the organization. I have served as a Department Executive & Project Manager of the Signal, Intelligence, and Sustainment Company (SISCO), directly supporting the Airborne Corps staff and Commander during worldwide no-notice response missions. I have also held other roles, such as Information Technology Manager, Marketing Project Manager, and Information Technology Network Specialist, where I also played key roles in mission planning, communication management, IT management, project management and personnel development. I am transitioning out of the military and seeking to leverage my strong background in the corporate world.
