About Waleed Farahat

I am a multi-disciplinary technical leader, team builder and hands-on engineer advancing ideas from research through productization. My technical core as a mechanical engineer is in modeling, control and optimization of dynamic systems — giving machines smarts through algorithmic, software and hardware integration. For over the past decade, I helped bring novel robotic systems and capabilities to market including category-defining collaborative robots. For the first half of my career I contributed to diverse domains such as data storage, gas turbines, biomechanics and tissue engineering, spanning industry and academia.Along the way, I booted-up and nurtured multiple high-influence and high-performance teams that combine technical talent, collaborative outlook, and broad, strategic and ambitious thinking.
