   Support the Community and Government relations team to develop, manage, and implement comprehensive strategies promoting HMSA’s objective to ensure wellness and to support members with clear, thoughtful guidance-Collaborate with various internal departments and external stakeholders to provide effective deliverables including preparing and presenting testimony, drafting legislation, and tracking over 400 bills and resolutions every legislative session-Cultivate authentic and meaningful working relationships with elected and appointed officials, community members, as well as department executives and staff at the state and federal levels to establish a high degree of visibility and reliability in the community-Present and discuss strategies, legislation status, and regulation changes that impact the company to HMSA senior leadership, department heads, and subject matter experts-Collaborate with Blue Cross Blue Shield Association on federal issues and congressional lobbying efforts-Provide support for our community relations programs in build relationships that earn the trust of our partners and the public at large
