Strategize with business partners and HRCs on Recruitment initiatives and practices. • Facilitate robust discussions with VPs, Directors, and Managers about positions we regularly recruit. • Identify challenges and make recommendations on improvements in the recruitment process. The result is better hires and better retention rates. • Manage recruitment for various departments in BC, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg and Toronto: Claims, Underwriting, Surety, HR, Specialty Solutions etc. • Review recruitment plans with hiring Managers to set expectations and direction. • Coach, mentor and collaborate with the Recruitment Coordinators and Recruitment Specialists. • Lead and actively participate in regional and national projects. • Develop sourcing strategies for critical and hard to fill roles and identify relevant sourcing channels. • Proactively source and build candidate pipelines, build relationships with people at all levels and backgrounds. • Participate in opportunities to engage with prospective candidates through social media/career fairs/industry events etc. • Coordinate and perform all recruiting efforts in the hiring and placement of all levels of the organization including: creating/posting job descriptions, résumé database searching, phone screening, conducting interviews, screening, testing and reference checks.
