Serve as chief executive of local United Way helping 1 in 5 people in Cullman County in need annually. Create annual community needs assessment indicating the greatest area of need to work towards, set goals to improve outcomes and issues through internal services, initiatives, and partnering with other non-profit organizations, ministries, churches, and similar partners working to help those in need in Cullman. Proactively work in the areas of education, health, financial stability, and basic services to increase future outcomes for the better in Cullman County. Created and developed Volunteer Cullman platform to be the official volunteer agency in Cullman plugging in volunteers to local opportunities to serve. Created new Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) by-laws, recruited new members, and created new group for disaster relief and recovery efforts in Cullman through a collaborative effort. Responsible for all fundraising activities, grant writing, and other resource development. Create and manage all budgets, financial policies, and ensure accounting standards are met. Hire, develop, and lead all staff to help serve the community as servant leaders. Lead & recruit nearly 100 volunteers who help with office management, fundraising, sponsorships, community initiatives & projects, and community wide events to benefit the public. Manage United Way allocation process, analyzing need for giving to partner agencies, and go over quarterly & annual agency reports, financial statements, and clients served to ensure money is going to help meet United Way\'s community wide goals. Serve as a member of the board of directors. Lead vision and direction for the organization staff, volunteers, board of directors, and young professional\'s board. Responsible for thanking & appreciating volunteers, donors, and other stakeholders.
