ABOUT WAHIBA CHAIR

Wahiba Chair is a Senior Strategist and Assistant Professor with over 15 years of experience in higher education, technology, marketing, and communications. As a strategist, Wahiba has helped organizations ranging from start-ups to global brands like Toyota maximize results through humanized digital marketing and communications.As an entrepreneur and industry expert, Wahiba has been featured in major outlets including CNN, CBC, Radio Canada, and the National Post. Her publications have appeared on top authority sites like Times Higher Education, Social Media Today and Yahoo! News.Since 2014, Wahiba has helped thousands of students and professionals at top Canadian universities such as University Canada West, Simon Fraser University, and the University of British Columbia further their career goals through practical industry focused teaching.At University Canada West, she taught over a dozen marketing, media and communications courses with an 92+% average evaluation. As a Subject Lead for public relations and capstone courses, she oversees a team of instructors to ensure consistency in quality and standards. In 2024, she was awarded the prestigious Excellence in Teaching and Learning Award for her contributions to student success. Her action research focuses on using educational technologies such as AI, social media and podcasts to make learning more human, engaging, and experiential.
