About Jon Williams
Jon Williams founded W&A Engineering, previously Williams and Associates, over two decades ago, with the idea of establishing an all-encompassing land planning and design firm in Northeast Georgia to serve its growing communities. Since then, the company has grown into a multi-disciplined, national engineering firm with completed projects in more than 45 of the United States and acting as the on-call civil engineers and consultants for economic development in more than 35 Georgia communities. The firm’s five main departments include Civil Engineering, Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Traffic Engineering and Economic Development, plus Soil and Environmental Consulting. Today, W&A Engineering improves communities with innovative design, effective and efficient engineering, and professional service, building better communities one client at a time.In April 2021, Jon Williams founded Better Communities Collaborative. Better Communities Collaborative is a family of innovative businesses with the unified mission to work towards a better tomorrow. This common thread is woven into the fabric of the BCC affiliate companies and is the “why” with which the BCC teams approach each and every opportunity. The Better Communities Collaborative believes their employees, clients, and communities deserve the very best.In his personal life, Jon is very involved within his local community. He sits on the Board of Directors at Extra Special People and the Georgia Board of Landscape Architects. Jon\'s recent honors include being named the 2021 ASCE Entrepreneur of the Year, as well as the 2021 Go Beyond Profit Champion and a 2022 Georgia 100 Titan of Business.
