ABOUT WAEL MOUSSA
As a Research Scientist at FHI 360, I leverage my Ph.D. in Economics from Syracuse University to conduct rigorous research and analysis focused on evidence-based policy and decision-making. With over a decade of experience in this role, I have led and contributed to high-impact projects aimed at improving outcomes and access for diverse populations. In addition to designing and executing research studies, I mentor and manage junior and senior researchers, providing technical guidance and fostering their professional growth. Beyond my work at FHI 360, I serve as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University, where I teach data analytics for regional studies. This role allows me to share my expertise in quantitative methods, causal inference, and data-driven decision-making with emerging researchers and policymakers. I am passionate about applying rigorous analytical methods to solve complex social and economic challenges, continuously exploring new tools and methodologies to enhance the impact of my research.
