About Wade Landis

As a financial advisor with Edward Jones, I pride myself on helping clients achieve their goals. While almost everyone desires to retire eventually, most people have several challenges between graduating high school and calmly settling into retirement. I graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1996, served 20 years in the submarine force before retiring from the military as a Commander and bringing my family back to Moravia, NY, in 2016 in hopes of a simpler life. Since joining Edward Jones in 2017, I have gotten divorced, sent kids to college and served as the executor of my father\'s estate. Life doesn’t always play out just like you planned it. Gone are the days of getting a job right out of high school, staying there for 40 years and then retiring comfortably in your 60s. I understand that the path to retirement isn\'t necessarily a straight line, but I have also learned that life events can be scary. Through my own experiences and through those of my clients, I have learned too much about death, divorce, retirement and putting kids through college. I strive to make life events less scary for my family, my friends and my clients. I am grateful for the community that is helping raise my kids. I have four kids that are active in sports, band, drama and thriving academically. My oldest daughter will soon graduate from Texas A&M and her brother will soon be attending SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica. Spending time with my kids and watching them develop is my top priority. I am pleased that my career allows me to be heavily involved as their father, and I wouldn\'t have it any other way. We opened our Edward Jones office in Moravia in November of 2018. In May of 2024, we moved to our new location on Main Street in a building that was previously the Moravia Town Hall. I proudly serve as an officer at my local VFW, Post 7127 and in the Moravia -Locke Chamber of Commerce. I am humbled to have served in numerous local funerals honoring deceased veterans alongside members of VFW Post 7127 and Carrington Fuller American Legion Post 800. My goal is to provide an inviting atmosphere where individuals and families feel comfortable partnering with us to achieve their financial goals and deal with the obstacles along the way.
