   Leveraging decades of product development and leading teams, and a decade immersed in data protection and the multiple offerings from various solution leaders in the industry, Wade’s role is focused on leading the next generation of data protection.\\\\n\\\\nFortra, a company that grows through acquisition, has brought together tools focused in the data protection space with Digital Guardian (DLP), Titus, Boldon James (Data Classification), and VERA (Digital Rights Management).\\\\n\\\\nThe product role transforms from more of a pure roadmap and features, to the consolidation of teams, processes and people, while plotting the future of the products within the tools and the overall portfolio. Support and reassurance of the existing customer base plays a large part of the role, so customers feel confident the products they have invested their time and money in products that will not become end of life.\\\\n\\\\nDirector of Product Development for Fortra encompassed:\\\\n- Customer support, reassurance, and management of customer expectations\\\\n- Interacting with customers on issues, requests, and performing check-in meetings on a quarterly\\\\nbasis\\\\n- Sales support on a transitioning sales and sales engineering team\\\\n- Support of a transitioning marketing team with materials, interviews, and articles and competitive\\\\nanalysis\\\\n- Interfacing with other product teams for strategic alliances, partnerships, and connecting with peers\\\\nto see where various industry tools are heading\\\\n- Interfacing/interacting with analysts and paid services to promote company tools\\\\n- Validating and planning short term roadmaps to address customer need\\\\n- Looking across product lines for similarities and opportunities for consolidation\\\\n- Building medium and long-term strategies within the bounds of overall company goals\\\\n- Delivering a roadmap that balances capability and pushes the norms within data protection in an\\\\nindustry that has largely stayed static for the past 15 years\\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n
