About Anna Wachnicka
I am a broadly trained applied aquatic geoscientist with more than 20 years of experience in system-wide environmental and water quality assessments, and proven publication records and editorial services (authored and co-authored >50 scientific publications and technical reports). I specialize in designing, coordinating, and executing interdisciplinary projects and programs with a focus on optimizing strategies for the management of change in coastal and inland waters driven by climate change, sea level rise, and hydrologic alterations of watersheds. I am experienced in federal and state research grant acquisition (>$7.4 mln in federal and state grants acquisition and >$4.5 mln in internal contracts management), budget management, strategic financial planning, and system-wide evaluations of interdisciplinary project outcomes. With a collaborative leadership style, I have extensive experience in leading culturally diverse teams, mentoring junior scientists, and delivering high-quality technical and scientific presentations to a wide range of stakeholders (delivered >150 scientific and technical oral presentations at international, national, and local scientific conferences, workshops and public meetings with stakeholders).
