About W. Travis Buchanan

Hello All, thanks for taking an interest. I was born and raised in the Chicago area (read: suburbs) where I lived until I joined the Army straight out of High School. Spent four years active duty as a Nuclear, Biological, Chemical Warfare Specialist. I received four advanced promotions and exited the Army as a Sergeant (E-5). I was stationed in Kansas, Kuwait, and Korea. Upon leaving the military, I immediately began my lengthy college career by attending Harper College. I quickly found I had an affinity for academia, so after my Associates degree I moved to Champaign-Urbana to attend the University of Illinois to earn my Bachelors degree in Political Science. From there is was either plunge myself into the job market, or continue along my academic journey - so I moved back to Chicago to attend Loyola Law. I graduated with my J.D. in 2010, but unfortunately found after my second year of law school that I wasn\'t meant to be an attorney - I\'m too big a fan of the mutually beneficial outcome. Knowing this about myself, I moved to sales. I spent 5 years with CDW and CDWG helping customers find, buy, and implement technology solutions. Currently, I\'m in the Chicago area with cyber-security company Everfox. I was working with with our Federal Government team, helping to use our technology to improve civilian agencies\' security at every level. Now however, I\'ve joined the Channel team helping our Partners match their customer\'s needs with Everfox\'s solutions.
